2 Corinthians 1-3

1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. 2 For he says,

“In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.”[a]

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

Paul’s Hardships

3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

Exodus 15:12-14

12 “You stretch out your right hand,
and the earth swallows your enemies.
13 In your unfailing love you will lead
the people you have redeemed.
In your strength you will guide them
to your holy dwelling.
14 The nations will hear and tremble;
anguish will grip the people of Philistia.

John 3:16-21

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Galations 2: 15-21

15 “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.

19 “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Revelations 1:4-8

4 John,

To the seven churches in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Colossians 3:12-17

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Spring is here… Hmmm Now What Shall I Wear?!

As the first week of spring comes to an end, the anticipation for warm weather continues to build, leaving us with the  question, “when will this cold weather come to an end?” So we can pull out our short shorts, flirty skirts, dainty dresses, cute tops, and stylish sandals. Well I am by no means a weather expert, but with the fashion I can help.
Waiting for the warm weather to finally break I have been shopping and looking for what’s hot in the spring and summer 2011 season. As all fashion choices are subjective to each person’s opinion, here are items that appear on both high-end and affordable websites alike.
The first must have are The Denim Shorts, {as Christians we want to dress fashionably yet tastefully, try them on and make sure that nothing is hanging out where it shouldn’t!}  Denim short are classic and can be worn in either white or blue denim. They can be worn in so many different ways: with a tee and some cute sneaks or sandals; or with a tank top, vest, and some stylish flats or heels.

The next must have is similar to the shorts, but is a little more girly, The Skirt. The skirt is always a good option for that summer cookout, concert, or just hanging out. The skirt is playful and a great way to show off your legs. Of course, again make sure that the length of the skirt is appropriate. If you are short you can get a shorter skirt to help make your legs look longer. If you get the skirt too long it will make you look short and frumpy.

The next must have is The Classic Summer Dress. It can be dressed up with a a belt, cardigan and a nice pair of heels, or dressed down with some embezzled flats. The summer dress is always needed in a girls wardrobe. The summer dress is a transitional piece that can be worn with some cute flats for a day out with your girls at the mall and then at night for a date with someone special.

The last must have is A Tank Top. A tank top is a key essential because it can be worn with the top three must haves listed above. You can layer tank tops, you can wear them under tee shirts , cardigans, vest, even under certain dresses.

A Cardigan is always a great item to have in your closet, it not only helps dress up certain looks but they are also very practical. For those cool spring days and nights throwing on a cardigan can help complete your look, while keep you cute and warm! Cardigans are made in a variety of styles and colors you could practically have a different one to go with each outfit.

The Key to making every look work is having the right accessories. Jewlery, belts, scarfs, and sunglasses are all essentials that can help change up your look.

Matthew 5:46-48

46For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47And if you greet only your brother, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
